Question: Q: MacBook Pro won't play audio CD's. I wanted to get caught up on putting some new music onto my computer so that I can get it onto my iPod, but I put the CD's in, they sit in there for about 20 or 30 seconds, don't open, or anything, and then just eject themselves. I can't import them, I can't even play them.

If it will not read any type of CD, I would call Apple prior to spending the time on a re-install as it is almost assuredly hardware failure. (Probably laser alignment. Just do not recall seeing many fixes for this except getting a new drive, although it has been at least a couple of years since I've been involved in tech support at all.)
