This is not a Mac Pro forum, this is a Mac mini forum. This is not a resolution to this issue for a Mac Pro. Both the Early & Late '09 Mac mini have two video ports; mini-DVI and mini-DisplayPort. I am giving folks with '09 Mac minis an option that uses the mini-DisplayPort that will intergrate the video and audio for use with HDMI.

As far as I know, it's not possible as you can't choose Mini DP as an audio output and DVI doesn't normally support audio. As I said, your best bet is to use e.g. 3.5mm audio cable (there are adapters for toslink etc) to get sound under OS X.
