I have the 2020 Mac Mini and I am using the headphone output for all my audio. However, I just purchased a new Samsung display which has its own onboard speakers. When connecting the MacMini to the monitor via HDMI cable the audio is going through the monitor speakers rather than through the headphone output.

I'll be using my Mac Mini and step away from the computer for an hour. Come back, turn the TV on... nothing. My Samsung TV says there is no signal from HDMI. The only way to get it back working is reboot. Unplugging the HDMI cable, power cycling the TV, nothing works. But if I take out the HDMi and plug it into a PC, it works fine.
