I had both the HK-802SX and the HK4000D I had one of them pushing my 15" MTX 5500's for 3 months and they are rated at 300 rms each so either MTX underrates their subs or the amp is underrated. They also get very hot easily. I couldn't play them for longer then 20 minutes in the summer.

Hey I was taking a look at the Ma Audio amplifier (HK802SX) and I see that its rated at 4400 watts rms @ 1 ohm (bridged). I believe that it's rated at 17 volts. If it is what is it rated at 14 volts, anybody know?

They probably are marginally better than Sony and Pyramid, but I wouldn't rank them at even the reliability or performance of Audiobahn.
