M-Audio studio speakers are music industry bestsellers*—and now AV 40s bring this professional legacy to your home. Unlike plastic multimedia speakers, AV 40s use technology that’s trusted by top musicians, engineers, and composers: premium woofer and tweeter components for rich lows and crystal highs; wave guides for clarity and detail; and wooden cabinets for tight, punchy sound.

M-Audio Studiophile BX5A Monitor User Reviews | zZounds

These things suck. Both of mine died out of warranty and I take extremely good care of all of my equipment. M-Audio would not budge on the the warranty, but wanted $100 a piece to fix them. The amps broke and just started buzzing on them, about 6 months apart from each other. Don't buy the new one's either, same thing.

M-Audio and Event: I did look through their lines, but they seemed to fall either into 2.1 systems (M-Audio's low-end stuff) or big boxy speakers. Up until I saw the Genelecs, I was thinking the Event ALP5 might be the best I could do, but I think I'm willing to pay the extra money for the better form factor, if I wouldn't be making trade-offs ...

I've been pretty frustrated searching for the perfect 2.1 computer audio system for music and movies (I don't game on the pC anymore) and all systems were compromises -I bought the "thx" logitech 2.1s that could shatter my windows with the bass but also made my ears bleed because the highs are...

I have definitely heard speakers that don’t fit my preference that I think can be decent too. Are they too expensive for what they are? The A2’s have received quite decent reviews from a consumer standpoint and from many in the audio community as well. I’m just wondering what the people who dislike them would suggest getting instead.
