M-Audio Solaris Multi-Pattern Condenser Microphone. Don't let its whimsical "lollipop" design fool you -- the Solaris is a serious, sturdily-built large-diaphragm condenser with a flat frequency response.

The price of the M-Audio Solaris isn't all that cheap as is the case with most M-Audio mics, but it is pretty cheap when compared to some other mics of this caliber out there. M-Audio has a knack for making good-sounding gear and keeping it in the price range of the project-studio owner. If you are looking for a solid, large-diaphragm condenser, give these mics a serious listen. (Luna $250 MSRP, Solaris $350; www.m-audio.com)

M-Audio Solaris VS. Luna Review The M-Audio Solaris and Luna are a pair of versatile large diaphragm condensers which work great for any mid to high mid instrument such as vocals or guitars.
