Try removing all the software using the Firewire Family uninstall from the start menu, and manually delete the drivers. Do a fresh install with the firewire cable disconnected.

Also, sometimes in Protools, I get the message 'Protools cannot communitcate with the HUI, power cycle the device or reconnect'; I was told by M-Audio tech support that it wouldn't be a problem with the ProjectMix (although I disagree). Windows 10 says that there is a problem witht he driver of both keystation mini 32 and projectmix I/O. I went to the m-audio website, and they claim that the keystation should work perfectly, and that "at the moment" there's no driver for the projectmix. A bit disheartened, I tried to see if reaper could work some magic.
