    I use Cubase for mixing - IMHO, Cubase 5 or Sonar 8PE on PC or Logic Studio 8 or DP6 on Mac are better options. As for M-Audio - many of their products are still seriously flawed and disappointing, but they seem to be improving a bit of late - the 610 is getting mostly good reviews and the EX66 monitors are top notch for a great price.

    I am running Cubase 5. I record all my guitar and vocal tracks through an M-Audio Profire 610 into my Windows PC via the old-school firewire. For the past year and a half, I have been using the the “Generic low latency ASIO driver” as the input (linked to the M-Audio Profire 610), and “Speakers” as output.
