I've been working in radio broadcasting for about 6 years in my life..so when I'm telling you this is a decent deal, you should trust me. Given the price, the sound of the MXL 990 and 991 is more than fair..is more than I expected. With a bit of touch you can capture instruments and voice like a pro.I would say 90-95% ..you are there.

MXL 990. Published on 05/06/05 at 09:37. I use it mainly for vocals, but it does pretty good on guitar and other acoustic sounds. Cardiod, electrostatic transistor mic with an impeccable finish, a very nice look, like the TLM 103 (but I don't mean to say it's a TLM!). Comes with shock mount, stand adapter and case.
