I take that to mean that there are no new drivers available and that the keyboard is supposed to plug-and-play. 4. Re: M-Audio Keystation 49e Issues. Thebugman, your Keystation 49 is not a playback device since it has no MIDI sound module, that is, no synth. It is an input device only, intended to control or trigger a softsynth or hardware synth. Look under Tools-Options on the Record tab and it should show up as an input device.

I have a Keystation 49 which worked briefly on my Windows 10 PC. At some point, I did an upgrade and it appeared to have stopped working. From researching it appears that it isn't compliant MIDI.. and consequently won't work with most current drivers. When it did work, I only got it working as input to MuseScore.
