When the input is selected to the Fast Track, the volume sliders are disabled. In the System Preferences window it shows the Fast Track but says, "The selected device has no Input/Output controls." I read all of the other posts about microphones with the M-Audio Fast Track but none were able to help me.

I suggest you to try uninstalling the audio driver for that particular device and restart the computer and have Windows automatically install the latest available driver upon restart. 1. Press Windows key + X and select device manager. 2. Locate the audio driver and uninstall it. 3. Restart the computer and check the functionality.
