Fast track pro - sample rate problem. Ok, so I got an M-audio Fast track pro. So far, it's pretty good. It took me quite a while to set up the drivers, but It's working now. So anyways, right now I'm recording at a 48k sample rate. However, the interface can go up to 96k. Now, I went into the control panel and it says max sample rate is 48k.

Impossible to work with sample rates above 44.1khz after installing the M-Audio Fast Track Pro (24bit/96khz)-I get a continuously interrupted and noisy output. I was previously using the Edirol M-100 FX (16bit/44.1khz). A warning in Cubase mentions that sample rate could not be set because of the sample clock being set to external sync.

16 bit and 24 bit are NOT sample rates but bit depth. Do you by some chance have more than 1 audio interface on your computer, like maybe an onboard soundcard? If so, disable that and try again.
