The M-Audio A40's get good reviews (Amazon Link) and are in my price range. I was thinking of either connecting them to the audio out on the TV, or the headphone jack. i've done some due diligence research throughout the forums before posting this, but i can't seem to find any info about m-audio's AV 40 speakers. there are great reviews all around about the M-audio DX4 speakers and they seem like a great deal for the price but they are the same price as the M-Audio AV 40 speakers.

For that budget no, and the a5's are £200 more than the av40's and have a 5" woofer compared to the av-40's 4" , for the same price or less than the av-40's you could have had the Edifier Studio R1900 , it has a 5" woofer and handles bass better and sounds a bit more fuller and warmer compared to the av-40s. Does anyone have an M-Audio AV40 schematic they are willing to share? I have found the AV30 schematic and have used that with good success as it's near enough to work out what's what. The AV40 basically is the same with an extra 8pin opamp for the TRS inputs and a filter section with bypass for bass boost. Thanks in advance. Tags: av40, m-audio.
