    All of a sudden my lync 2013 x64 stopped recognizing my Audio device. If i go to settings=> audio devices i get a yellow box saying "We didn't find an audio device, which you need for calling. If you have one already, try checking Windows Device Manager to make sure it's installed and working."

    In our case the issue was caused by a missing Port Replication Driver for our HP workstations and laptops. Many people use hubs and docking stations and without this driver Lync 2013 will not recognize any audio devices. Hope this helps someone

    Went to Device manager. 2. Went to the properties of Generic USB Hub/USB Root Hub. 3. Went to Advanced tab and selected "Reset Hub". 4. Repeated the above steps for all the Generic USB Hubs and USB Root Hubs listed in Device manager. 5. Unplugged all USB devices and plugged the headset back in. 6. Audio device appeared in Lync 2013.
