I have Windows XP Media Center Edition Service Pack 3. I lost sound when trying to install Windows Media Player 11. Under Control Panel/Sounds and Devices there is now no device listed for Volume, Speaker Settings. On the tab for Audio/Sound Playback, all the options are grayed out-- can't select or change anything.
