I've recorded guitar performances to (2) guitar tracks in Logic Pro X. (1 track is a close mic, 1 track is a room mic) Using cycle mode, I've recorded many takes on both tracks. When I go to comp in swipe mode (let's say comping the performance on the close mic) only the actual take that is currently highlighted is affected and effectively comped.
