    You can tell ALSA 1,000 times to use the nVidia audio, and it says, "NOPE!" Once you get the Pulse control installed, look at the ALSA control and see which one says "Plugged in". On mine it's HDA2, and in Pulse the ones that are NOT used say "not plugged in". Go to the PLAYBACK tab at the top. At the bottom it defaults to APPLICATIONS.
