Try DVI to component out on the video card so it only uses the video side. Then a 3.5 to RCA to support the audio. You shouldn’t lose any quality. What happens is the DVI to HDMI only supports the video side from the pc however your tv is looking to that cable “HDMI” to support the audio that is being fed through it but there’s nothing there.
