Lavardin has build it on something they call "memory free distortion", and it`s still a mystery to many what thats about, but it makes the amplifier sound like the best tube`s, and this from an transistor build one. Everyone whos in doubt about this amplifier, need to hear it. I hooked it with my Jean Marie Reynaud, Orfeo and it sounds just great.

Lavardin’s model IT is a case in point. Some time ago I tested it for Audio. Launched at the very beginning of Lavardin's existence, it has undergone only minor cosmetic changes since. One of those came about in 2003 as a new knob color. The one in 2005 was more significant. The input circuitry saw certain changes and they added a tape out.

On Lavardin’s website we can find information on how classic measurement methods are inadequate for dealing with music signals. I thought Id come back on here to update on my Lavardin IT repair situation. After over 18 months with the HIFi Hospital (Dublin) with Covid lockdown delays etc. Daniel of the HiFi Hospital, finally admitted defeat. He recorded numerous hours trying various approaches including different Op Amps, but all to no avail.
