CRUISE CONTROL My 94 Kawasaki Voyager 1200 I just sold had factory cruise control on it. A pretty sweet sophisticated set up. This really was a nice toy for long trips. Only problem was it was only good up to 98 mph. Makes Western Kansas and western Nebraska disappear pretty quick at that rate. Bill

Gen1 or Gen2 KLR? Most use either a bit of bungee cord to lightly jam the throttle or a Vista Cruise. I have some pics of how to install a Vista Cruise. Pain in the butt, but it works. I think the bungee cord idea is the simplest, possibly the most reliable.

KLR-650 N9BMN FD <> 4% ... If someone has hooked up an Audiovox cruise control up to an R motor I would love to know how they over came the double throttle cable. On the K- bike it's easy all the throttle bodies are linked in line and you can hook the the cable from the cruise control to it fairly easy. And yes it works great.

The Rostra has an electric motor servo while the others use vacuum. All were developed as car units so the control pad needs to be waterproofed when used on a bike.

Update, I just finished the KLR install, and now have a CCS-100 on both bikes, FJR 1300 and KLR 650. The KLR has only a single-pole, double-throw, momentary, normally open switch on the dash, so the unit is always on, and other than the switch and ground, there's only 3 wire connections to the bike.

ECC Electronic Cruise Control. Jim, You know the 2 most common ECC's that are or can be added to m/c's are the Aussy one and the AudioVox CCS-100. If you can find an AudioVox that has been returned (all the parts) they can be had for 30 to 50 dollars depending.
