Kel HM-3C I have two in a box sitting on my dining room table. Not perhaps an exhaustive test of their capabilities... I plan on using them for drum overheads on a small jazz kit (with an HM-2D on bass drum and two HM-1s on toms, probably an SM7b on snare and a Pearlman TM-1 on room) and on percussion...and anything else they sound good on.

It flattered a blunt, cold synthesizer part and landed instantly where it belonged in the song. Another synth part with too much coarse edginess was less perfect; it captured too much of the high-end’s abrasiveness. At the other end of the sonic spectrum, it captured a weird autoharp-like folk instrument beautifully, with just the right coloration.
