Just Audio UDAC-2496 . This is a small box made in the UK around 4-5 years ago and whilst technically it’s a bit old now it is still one of my favorite portable DACs for its dynamic range, balanced capability, and all-round fun. I've owned an AHA-120 and uDAC 2496 for about 4 months now. The uDac has put the Duet to shame. The aha 120 has taken the crown from the Lisa III and even the Pico Slim. The Pico Slim was great for IEM with silent background, but couldn't power high impedance units.

The 96 is the hertz. Again, typical audio CDs are stuck at 44100hz. In short, the HDTracks files have more digital information in them so the sound should sound fuller, more detailed, etc. This is all assuming you have decent level stereo/headphone equipment. If you're just using your smartphone and the included earbuds, don't bother.
