So I'm not saying that audio recorded with the Juicedlink/7D combo is necessarily going to be bad. Just for me personally, it all just seems a little too wonky to trust. It would be really great if somebody were to actually conduct a test of the signal to noise ratio, frequency response and distortion of this combo.

Record your audio directly to the zoom. Camera captures images and reference audio to sync the images with the Zoom's sound files. Some people use a plug in called Plural Eyes to do this.
