Three of JL audio’s biggest subwoofer collections are the W0 series, the W1 series, and the W3 series. The W0 is the low tier, followed by the W1 as the middle tier, leaving the W3 to take the crown. The W0 will only have 4 Ohms impedance subwoofers while the W1 and the W3 will have both 2 Ohm and 4 Ohm impedances.

209 Posts. Discussion Starter · #1 · Apr 20, 2017. I was a huge fan of JL W1 series back in the day and of course the W6's ruled back in those days. I still have a 10w0 and for some reason I think the W1's sounded better, but I could be very wrong. I have someone wanting to trade my old 12W3 for a pair of 8W0's.

Model Reviewed: Jl Audio 15wo bought in 2004. Strength: Nice loud, long carry bass and tight roll over. Has Great sound quality and produces ear splitting pressure in Jeep with window up. Weakness: Have yet to see any. I have 1 15wo and an old school Rockford Punch 200 cast iron series. Speaker is in air tight box hooked to 1 channel.

Now if this was w0 vs w1v1... it would be a little more difficult for me to choose the w0.
