Discussion Starter · #1 · Mar 24, 2010. Fellas, I have an old JL 12w0-4 kickin around my house and wondered if it would be worth the small hassle to build a box for HT use. It would be mainly for 50% movies, 30% gaming and 20% music. I searched the net and only came up with a couple threads on different forums that gave some vague info.

The JL 12W0 is paired with a Rockford Fosgate R500X1D Prime 300W @ 4 ohm RMS amp and mounted in a sealed enclosure. It provides plenty of accurate bass. This sub has one of the lowest Fs ratings for the cost at just over 28Hz.

I have 2 JL Audio 12-W0's hooked up to a Power AcoustiK 1200 watt 2 channel amplifier and they slam. I have 4 ga. wire ran all the way up to a distributer, then I went with 3 feet of 8 ga. to the amp. Stuff sounds awesome, but could do a little better on faster beats like rock music. Handles rap beats awesome.
