In Device Manager, all audio devices reported working. No available devices listed under SOUND. I also has an KVM switch with Audio. So I have a USB Audio in Device Manager too. However, under Sound there is no device listed. I think the issue is not audio driver since both Intel and USB audio show fine in Device Manager but not in Sound setting.

Chose the open sounds settings. Under the "input" in the "choose your input device" drop-down menu, choose disable/remove microphone. And than go back to snagit and try the video recording again. The above worked on a windows 10-64 bit version, using Snagit 2018.
