A better solution will be to start jackd from qjackctl using pasuspend so that pulseaudio is disabled while JACK is active, then start your JACK applications. I have to do some more testing of this method. JACK and PulseAudio can't really peacefully coexist because of PulseAudio's CPU load and latency issues.
