PowerPoint 2010: insert audio file, no playback controls appear. When I insert an audio file onto a slide (drag an mp3 to a slide or choose Insert / Audio / Audio on my PC), the audio icon appears on the slide, and I can click to play (in presentation mode -- the Preview / Play button does not seem to play the file).

Thank you for the suggestions. I have tried to repair Powerpoint 2010 even to reinstall the entire software. But it seems like the problem stays unsolved. I should have made my description clearer. The problem is when I insert audio file to a powerpoint ,the powerpoint turns unable to respond.
