I have an imac with windows 7 installed. It is a clean install without bootcamp. There is no Audio on the machine. From the vendor ID I found that the device is SIGMATEL STAC 92XX C-Major HD Audio. I have taken the advice above, uninstalled the sound drivers installed in device manager, and have tried to install the iMac 27" restore CD drivers, The Snow Leopard DVD Drivers, as well as downloading the drivers from realtek.

I installed windows 10 via bootcamp on my 2020 5k imac but the speakers sound very bad. They sound normal on macos. On older macs the drivers were always cirrus logic but now it says apple audio device. Tried reinstalling the drivers, reinstalling windows and resetting pram/nvram smc but nothing works. My headphones sound normal though.
