My Audio Recording Devices box shows the Rec. Playback IDT High Definition Audio Codec is unavailable. (-- although it is shown as enabled and functioning properly in other boxes). Occasionally, the condition changes: the Mic/Line In becomes 'unavailable', and the Rec. Playback functions normally.

I've included snips of the dialog box as it used to be (left), and the way it is now (right). (I've right-clicked and checked 'show disabled devices' and 'show disconnected devices'.
