The radio will not power on with this cable unplugged. Unplug both ends of each cable and inspect the ends for corrosion. Clean the ends with contact cleaner or isopropyl alcohol. Check the contacts on the board connectors as well. 99% of the time, this is what causes the symptoms you described. Keep me posted.
