Then strip the white wire enough to solder the tip, remove the carbon skin on the lead as well. If you don't strip the black wire completely or remove the carbon skin it's noisy as hell. Also like the video said, cut the middle of the three clips on the strain relief clip, the cable is fat as hell and is hard to screw it on tightly if it's on there.
