Make sure Sub is set to ON on your reciever, set the crossover to say, 80hz as a starting point. Plug a subwoofer cable (RCA to RCA) from SUB OUT or LFE OUT on your reciever to Input L (or R) on your sub. Turn the sub ON, crossover ALL THE WAY UP, and put the gain up about halfway. You're done.

For small rooms it worked good for my use. I used a Y cable to connect left/right set the Hz all the up let the AVR set the Hz, and set volume around 1/4 to just under halfway mark. You can run it a lil hot if you choose to. Again much better Subs out there but for 90 bucks which is what I paid for it wasn't a bad deal.
