Late to the party, but the reason why ShadowPlay/Share doesn't work with HDR is because it would need to encode in h.265. Most of the hardware is able to do that (the latest RTX cards even have an excellent NVENC codec), but for whatever reason, nvidia keep recording in h.264, despite the feature being requested for more than 5 years now.
