I started using HDMI audio instead of SPDIF because of the shortcomings of SPDIF. As of late, I no longer get Dolby or DTS to my reciever. Replied on October 20, 2017. For anyone with the same question, I figured it out. Uncheck the box in the Windows audio settings called "allow applications to take exclusive control of this device". It now outputs everything in PCM, and allows Equalizer APO to work with surround sound on Netflix. Report abuse. 62 people found this reply helpful. ·.
