I’m having an issue since applying the April 2019 update to my Vero4K. The audio drifts horribly after watching about 15 to 30 seconds of tv. The HDHomeRun has been updated to the latest firmware. I’ve tried watching the HDHomeRun directly from my TV, and the audio sync is fine. Also, before the April update, it worked fine through the Vero4K.

Re: HDhomerun and Roku DVR playback has choppy video and audio One other suggestion. If you have framerate matching enabled, try turning it off. Sometimes this will improve audio quality and/or preserve multi-channel audio (5.1). Because the audio is sent “untouched”, having this setting on may increase audio sync issues. Turning this setting off will allow the app to better time the audio to the video.

On other platforms, the HDHomeRun app actually has its own video player, that can be tweaked and made to work with all the different broadcasters. When there's an issue with something like Android or iOS, the app can be updated and those issues can be fixed. In other words, use something else if you really want good short term ATSC 3.0 support.

No sound on ATSC3.0 - Silicondust

Re: No sound on ATSC3.0. Right now, you would need to connect the Tivo Stream 4K to an "atmos" capable receiver (though technically it is AC4 rather than atmos but typically you will need "both"). Make sure it is connected directly to such and not through TV. There is a planned outage soon that should help with SD doing the audio transcoding ...
