Audio out of sync when exporting H.264. I just discovered the following: Whenever I export a H.264 in MP4 container, the audio in the resulting file goes about 10 ms out of sync. (575 audio samples to be exact.) Green is the original clip, red is the resulting file from export. I used 25fps in export settings.

I recently had the same issue with my h.264 audio going out of sync. The audio is also muted in certain places too. I do have mixed media including gifs and screen recordings. But this is the FIRST project I've ever had this audio sync issue with.

A container for video encoded with H.264 - such as an MKV or MP4 - can absolutely contain audio. That's how you can watch an H.264 video that has sound as well. On the other hand, it sounds like you could be confused about what H.264 actually is. H.264/MPEG-4 AVC is a standard for video compression, which has nothing to do with audio at all.

Hi, I recently got the new version of ffmpegx and I though I would rerip and try out H.264 on my Team America DVD. I used the preset and only adjusted the bitrate. When done I checked it out and after about half way through the movie and until the end the audio is slightly out of sync with the video.

Adobe Media Encoder exports h.264 audio out of sync. : editors

Adobe Media Encoder exports h.264 audio out of sync. Audio engineer here. I use AME to convert h264 videos from editors to pro-res so I can import them into protools (step 1). Once I'm done with the mix, I usually need to send the client an h264 for review. Protools exports the prores video file AME created along with my nice shiny new mix, and then I convert that prores to h264 …

Vegas 15 audio/video sync problem with h.264 - VEGAS …

The problem you see is very common with later versions of Vegas (15-18). Starting in V15, Magix introduced a new decoder dll, named S04compoundplug.dll. The new decoder was designed to decode newer camera formats and is evolving to this day. The audio sync problem was very common, especially for certain camera footage including GoPro clips.

Audio Sync problem with EE4 H.264 output

I have a problem with EE4 when producing an H.264 encoded MP4 file from a DV25 coded AVI file, the audio is significantly out of sync with the video. Targeting WMV from the same source works fine. Encoding to H.264 using the open source program 'Handbrake' also works fine (their de-interlacing is arguably better as well!) So the detail:-

Handbrake & H.264 - Audio not in sync | MacRumors Forums

Source was a Video_TS on the hard drive (7200 RPM). Encoded using iPhone settings, H.264 (iPod), single-pass, avg. bitrate of 1500kbps. Mac is an eMac 1.42. I've run 2-hr. movies with no problems using the Mpeg-4 encoder. Also run shorter programs using H.264, but a lower bitrate (based on MR's 5G iPod guide), with no problems.
