Here's the fix: Select the settings wheel on google voice page. Scroll all the way down to Audio. There are two options. Microphone and Speakers. For me it was set to my soundcard (which is working fine), but I changed it to onboard sound (hdmi through my monitor) and all of a sudden all my calls are playing again.
