    Keep in mind a lot of audio interfaces are combo XLR/1/4" jack. I don't have too much experience with audio interfaces on Linux, but my Focusrite Scarlett 18i20 works reliably for me and it has the combo jacks. They have many models with fewer inputs if you don't need that many.
