Some more help for the clueless - Does the S/PDIF plug into the GTS 250 wherin it is added to the video on the HDMI output or is it a separate sound output to the external AV system. If this latter is true then it becomes problematic as the AV system will see it as two seperate inputs that cannot be selected simultaneously?

OK, I remember that GIGABYTE GA-MA78GM-S2H did not work with several GeForce cards in HDMI audio. I saw this myself. Another user's experience. This does not say anything about GIGABYTE GA-890FXA-UD5 + GeForce GTX 250, but incompatibility may be the cause... (then perhaps you can do nothing.)
