In Windows 7, Home Premium, using Windows Media Player 12.?, the video portion of an AVI file plays just fine. However, the audio portion is garbled, it sounds like it's running at high speed. However, with Media Player Classic 6.?, both audio and video play perfectly. This occurs ONLY with AVI files, MOV, VOB, etc. are not affected.

MP3 files play perfectly in Windows Media Player and other audio software. AVI files play with distorted audio in Pinnacle Studio 14 Ultimate. MP3 files play with distorted audio in Pinnacle Studio Ultimate. I have uninstalled Pinnacle Studio Ultimate and reinstalled it. Same result. AVI files won't open in Cyberlink PowerDirector 10 Ultra.
