Reopened the GB file and I could then record to the track I wanted. I don't know which of the accesses did it (if I had more time, I'd figure it out).

    Just tested this on my Air 2/8.2 with a beat from Garageband on the first track, and then Thor bassline recorded onto an audio track via Audiobus. No timing issues at all. Thx for looking into it. I did the same thing as you (Air 2/8.2 audiobus, thor, garageband audio track) but stll the same timing issue: recording is before the beat.
