When I had vista, in the MOVIES tab in Fraps, under SOUND DEVICE it said VISTA DIRECTSTREAM. In xp, it says REALTEK HD AUDIO INPUT: DEFAULT. Yes I have installed all the neccesary drivers, chipset, sound. I have logitech x530 speakers with 5.1 surround sound, everything is in place. It's just fraps, this only happens in xp.

The Realtek HD Audio Manager has a drop-down menu for "Set Default Device but this is Grayed out. As far as I can see the minimal apparent changed in 8.1 don't justify the hassle of no sound, I have already spent far too much of my time on this.

HI, i've been recording my flights with fraps and there is no sound in the video! i set it to best sound input, does not work,.. the other sound input choice does not work either. I have realtek HD audio ( first time..) and my windows volume settings are set for recording for both sound choice in FRAPS.
