I'm using version 2.8.0 of fraps. I tried 'use windows input' and it changed my sound input to microphone, so it sounded like crap and i could hear my keyboard clicks and everything. The way I do is pretty simple : Set up FRAPS so it records audio when you press a key on your keyboard. I've bind mine to the asterisk key but it can be anything else.
