The Tube Head is a dual-chassis design with a separate power supply linked by a supplied DIN cable. On the front is a volume knob and an input selector switch. Everything else is packed onto the busy rear panel: two sets of inputs, one set of outputs, the in/out jacks for the power supply, and a tiny, horrendously inconvenient on/off toggle switch.

issues with Firestone Radio.... 30C5 tube?

If things are working correctly, the AC voltage across that resistor should be roughly 12V.

Secondly as I was recapping it I just casually assumed the tubes in it were correct: Its a four tube set that has a 35W4, a 50C5, a 12AV6 and a 12AU6 tube. But... after the recap on testing the large power resistor, which seems to be a 70 ohm unit ( hard to tell as its one of those fiberglass sleeved ...

I've been looking at Firestone Audio's Tube Head preamplifier. and Yaqin's Tube Buffer. I've emailed Firestone and they said the Tube Head is perfect for my desired application, the guy even said that's exactly how he's got his hooked up. I haven't contacted Yaqin.
