    I have configured pulseaudio to use equalizer by adding module loading to the bottom of config: $ tail /etc/pulse/default.pa -n 1 load-module module-equalizer-sink. The equalizer has no effect with "Built-in Analog Stereo", so I changed in pavucontrol to "FFT Based equalizer on %soundcardname%". After that the sound became muted.
