ffdshow - negative audio delay / chrominance smoother …

    https://forum.doom9.org/archive/index.php/t-99111.html
how can i achieve negative audio delay in ffdshow? Input field only accepts positive values. Some poorly encoded videos greatly benefit from 'Blur & NR/Chrominance smoother' filter'. But it's buggy for a very long time now (green rectangle at upper left corner in most videos). Is it just happening on ati cards so devs maybe don't realize the bug?

FFDSHOW Delay??? - VideoHelp Forum

    https://forum.videohelp.com/threads/272667-FFDSHOW-Delay
ok, i have a video. but the audio is a little bit behind the video... i use ffdshow, because its a quick fix to these problems, but the delay option only puts the audio further behind the video (due to it being delay lol)... on some things you can put a - sign infront of the number to do the opposite thing, but it does not allow you to do this in ffdshow, is there any other way to …

audio:decoder_options [ffdshow wiki]

    http://ffdshow-tryout.sourceforge.net/wiki/audio:decoder_options
One common reason for this is that video decoding usually requires much more processing power than audio decoding, and while the audio is played back normally, the video is played back slowly, thus increasing the delay the longer the playback continues. This delay is called jitter . The jitter correction mechanism detects these delays, and ...

On HD channel with extra quality settings (e.g.: deinterlacing) ffdshow also can go out of sync with audio, but this is a performance issue. One 2GHz cpu core has not enought power for this. I found out that older ffdshow uses libavodec as h.264/avc decoder. That was the setting on my "stable" machine.

This option defines a threshold after which ffdshow will start dropping frames to get audio and video back in sync. Out-of-sync issues usually occur when the CPU can't manage its workload. Skip H264 deblocking on delay With this option enabled, ffdshow will skip the H.264 deblocking filter and try to re-sync if the video is delayed.

Lip sync - audio lagging, how to delay video? | Home ...

The setting is called <Audio Delay>, but I can set its value to be positive or negative. If positive, it delays audio; if negative, it pushes audio ahead of video (i.e., delays video). Really, though, the DVDOs and Radiances are the only places I've seen this, and they're not cheap. Sorry to be a bearer of bad news. Yours, David Save Reply W

Also, you'll likely have different delays with different sources. And, of course, make sure that what you're having issue with is actually in sync. Edit: Looking at the manual for the Denon, make sure you're adjusting "Audio Delay" and not "Delay Time". The former is for A/V sync, the latter for the surround speakers to widen the surround field.

time delay for video vs. audio 85ms - Zoom Player ...

ffdshow is the answer to almost everything. ac3filter also has a audio/video sync option thats accurate to 1ms but it's not per channel like ffdshow. both would none the less remain permanent across all files. [edit] actually ac3filter does have a per channel delay feature. It's on the gains tab. ac3filter still only supports 5.1 though.
