FreeDB will be shutting down March 31. You'll need to switch to the MusicBrainz metadata plugin available in the latest version. They don't publish the list of possible independent mirrors that might stay running, the mirror list only has one server. Without centralization or a new operator, any submissions wouldn't be widely distributed.

The CDs I'd ripped using freedb used single-quote (but freedb is missing a lot of albums or has a lot of bad info for them). The files saved from EAC using the CUETools DB Metadata Plugin have the apostrophe not the quote, same with their tags. To just make this crystal clear, my car displays the apostrophe but with a wide chunk of spaces after it.

If you want to use metadata in.wav, you can use Media Monkey to fill in the data fields manually after ripping with EAC.
