You actually have enough EQ capability in the 590 but no good compression and no downward expander. You could use the EQ+ without the 8 band as the two broad band equalizers may satisfy you. If you listen on your radio monitor while adding a small amount of compression, it gets loud and don't forget the down ward expansion delay.
