Emotiva not so good - High-End Audio Discussion Forum

    https://forum.audiogon.com/discussions/emotiva-not-so-good
Both of Schiit Audio's amps have far superior SQ than Emotiva and at 699 and 799 are cheaper than Emotiva's XPA line. Adcom's current line up also measures quite a lot better than Emotiva's XPA line, albeit at somewhat higher prices. Outlaw Audio's multi channel amps also measure better and sound better, take it from personal experience.

When I was in my early days of returning to audio, I bought a small stereo receiver from Sherwood to power my rear speakers. I have replaced it with a 50-watt, Emotiva 2-channel power amp, one of those small narrow ones. Much better now. The A-100 is just a different version of the 50-watt Emotiva Fusion Flex amp that I use for the rear channel.

Emotiva vs Outlaw audio | Audioholics Home Theater Forums

The Emotiva does rate all 7 channels, but only into an 8 ohm load (not as difficult as 4 ohms) and does not specify the bandwidth! This would indicate that the Outlaw has a more rigorous power supply! Also, we are talking 93 pounds for the Outlaw and only 53 pounds for the Emotiva. Also agree that the Monolith (also made by ATI) is a better buy ...
